Details: The WIC program provides personalized nutrition education, breastfeeding education and support, screening and referrals to other health, food and other community programs, and nutritious foods such as milk, cheese, eggs, cereal, juice, and dried beans or peanut butter. WIC participants must meet certain financial requirements and be "nutritionally at risk" to qualify for the program. WIC also provides a Breastfeeding Peer Counselor to answer questions and help you during your pregnancy and after delivery as breast milk is the best food for your baby. WIC also provides breastfeeding classes five times a month.
